Training in Pacifica

Dog Training Around Pacifica

Pacifica is a coastal town with beaches, bluffs, and trails, and most of it requires a leash. Training happens where your dog lives: the beaches, bluff trails like Mori Point, and Sanchez Dog Park.

Leash Rules

The city requires dogs to be on leash at all beaches and parks, except Esplanade Beach and Sanchez Dog Park.

Esplanade Beach

Pacifica's leash-free beach, reached by stairs at the north end of Esplanade Drive. The shore gets very narrow at high tide.

Mori Point

A dog-friendly hike the city recommends. The bluffs are windy, and the Park Service asks visitors to keep away from the cliffs.

Sanchez Dog Park

Pacifica's first dog park, by the Sanchez Art Center.
